
Kevin O’Leary is a Canadian entrepreneur, investor, author, and television personality widely known for his outspoken approach to business and finance. Nicknamed “Mr. Wonderful,” he gained international recognition through television programs such as Dragons’ Den and Shark Tank.
Born in 1954 in Montreal, Quebec, O’Leary studied environmental studies and psychology at the University of Waterloo before earning an MBA from the Ivey Business School. He began his professional career in television production before moving into the technology industry.
In 1986, O’Leary co-founded SoftKey Software Products, a company specializing in educational software. After a series of acquisitions, SoftKey became The Learning Company, which was later sold to Mattel in a multibillion-dollar transaction.
